The Elevate Project Inc. launched as a natural wellspring of 20 years in network news media and corporate marketing both designing and delivering messaging.
We operate with a foundation of a brilliant blend of network news and corporate communication experiences, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes, giving us a ideal perspective on how best to both develop your message and deliver it effectively.
At the core of the elevate project is a desire to elevate you, your mission and your message using all of the best communication tools available in our ever-changing communications ecosphere.
OUR FOUNDER
Lauren is a native Detroiter, who graduated from Detroit Public school’s Renaissance High School going on to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where she studied communications and business, following that with two years at Wayne State University Law school.
Communications and compassion have been at the core of Lauren’s approach in her work life.
When a Detroit photographer suggested that Lauren enter a pageant where she might be the winner of a much-needed car, not only did she enter, but she won and with an interest in communications and genuine caring for the development of others, Lauren designed a 7-day pageant seminar teaching hundreds of pageant contestants how to both identify and communicate their best selves on stage and in life.
Fast forward to the beginning of her network news career as an intern with the NBC- Detroit affiliate, Local 4 News where her stand out street reporter internship work led to an evening news writer position. Her communication abilities ultimately lifted her to a seat on the weekend morning news desk as the solo anchor for the two hour news program.
While her network news career blossomed, the corporate communications world came calling and Lauren has provided corporate communication talent work to hundreds of projects, perfecting both the ear and teleprompter and taking her around the country for a vast array of jobs.
Lauren’s compassion is rooted in her family’s early teachings and embrace of the principle that everyone has something to offer and if given a proper opportunity they can thrive. Growing up in Detroit historical African-American neighborhood, Conant Gardens, Lauren has experienced firsthand the reality that there is a thin line between “making it” and not. And she realizes so often that we can be one introduction, one decision, one story away from something that can change the course of our direction for a lifetime.
